To say the last few months have been a whirlwind, both emotionally and intellectually, is an understatement.
I’ve been searching for the right “gig” for years. Something that fits into our busy life, lets me be present for all the little moments, and still contributes financially in a meaningful way. Honestly… it felt like chasing a unicorn.
I don’t want to miss my kids growing up — whether it’s practice nights, competition days, or the rare quiet supper at home. Trying to juggle all of that and a traditional job? That would require me to be a unicorn too.
A couple of months ago, I stumbled into an opportunity and decided to give it a shot. It felt more legitimate than some of the other “work from home” ideas I had considered (because let’s be honest… selling feet pics probably wasn’t my calling 😂).
So I got to work with certifications, licensing, and now learning how to actually do this job.
What surprised me most is how much I love the purpose behind it. Helping people. Talking about the things no one really talks about. Being a resource for families and my community. That part just clicked.
I attended a conference recently, and while the energy was incredible, I had a bit of a realization… my people weren’t in that room………yet.
Because I know they’re out there.
People who value hard work, community, and showing up for their families. People who understand grit — the kind you see in our kids at rodeos. Competing hard, pushing themselves, but still cheering on their friends like their wins are your own. That balance of drive and support? That’s what I want to build.
I’ll be honest — part of me wanted to have this all figured out and be wildly successful before I ever shared it. But that doesn’t feel right either. Opportunities are meant to be shared.
